International Conference Celebrating the 220th Anniversary of the First Theory of Electrolysis by Theodor von Grotthuss

June 4-6, 2025

Vilnius, Lithuania

We are pleased to announce the International Conference Celebrating the 220th Anniversary of the First Theory of Electrolysis by Theodor von Grotthuss (Part of the Chemistry & Chemical Technology 2025 Series) to be held June 4-6, 2025 at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) in Vilnius, Lithuania.

This meeting is a part of the Chemistry & Chemical Technology (CCT-2025) Series. It is also a continuation of a series of events to commemorate the work and life of Theodor von Grotthuss, such as the ISE-sponsored "Theodor Grotthuss Electrochemistry Conference" celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the First Theory of Electrolysis held in Vilnius on June 5 - 8, 2005 and Chemistry & Chemical Technology (CCT-2016)  dedicated to the 210th Aniversary of the First Theory of Electrolysis by Theodor von Grotthuss held in Vilnius on April 28-29, 2016.

The 2025 edition seeks to connect and highlight the importance of his seminal work to the most recent contributions, gathering researchers working in electrochemistry, photochemistry, geochemistry, and other fields to share their knowledge and latest results and strengthen international collaborations. We kindly invite you to join the conference and present your research.
